Billing Methods

Theta One API supports two billing methods as follows.

  1. Prepaid Credit: A method of charging credits as much as you want to use in advance and using the API within the charged range
  2. Postpaid Billing: A method of registering a card to be used for payment in advance and paying for the amount of API actually used once a month

When you first use Theta One API, the payment method is automatically set to Prepaid Credit.

Prepaid Credit Method

This method charges the amount you want to use in advance and blocks API usage when credits are exhausted, preventing excessive billing, making it suitable for small-scale services or development test environments.

However, if costs are exhausted unexpectedly in an actual service environment, API usage is blocked until credits are recharged, so it may not be suitable for live services with high and difficult-to-predict usage.

For how to use the API with the prepaid credit method, please refer to the page below.

Postpaid Billing Method

The postpaid billing method is a method of registering a credit card to be used for payment in advance and automatically paying for the amount used over a month on each designated payment date. It is suitable for service environments where usage is difficult to predict or where API service interruption should not occur. Please be careful as large unexpected costs may occur if usage increases.

Postpaid billing is provided only to users who have entered into a postpaid billing usage contract with Theta One.
