Theta One API uses a pay-as-you-go model where credits are deducted from your balance based on actual usage.

Calculation Examples
Speech Recognition (STT)
- 10 seconds of audio → 10 × 0.0004 = 0.004 credits
- 1 minute of audio → 60 × 0.0004 = 0.024 credits
- 1 hour of audio → 3,600 × 0.0004 = 1.44 credits
Pronunciation Feedback
- 10 seconds of audio → 10 × 0.0006 = 0.006 credits
- 1 minute of audio → 60 × 0.0006 = 0.036 credits
Credits are the consumption unit for API usage. When you purchase additional credits, the rate is 1:1 ($1 = 1 credit). Subscription plans (Pro, Pro+) include a 20% bonus on monthly credits — see Subscription Plans.

Free plan users attempting to call Pronunciation Feedback endpoints will receive a 402 PAYMENT_REQUIRED error. Please upgrade your plan to access this service.

Rate limits are applied per API key. Each API key can have its own rate limit up to the plan maximum.

- All prices listed are default rates. Custom pricing is available for Enterprise customers.
- Prices may change due to infrastructure cost fluctuations. We will notify you at least 14 days in advance via email and this page.
